Hand Printed Table Linens

I love the process of block printing as it allows me to be creative without picking up a brush (I am hopeless at painting !).  Many of my designs originate from inspirational ideas which I then translate onto the fabric, others evolve as I begin printing, simply choosing an initial block, a colour of paint and then following my heart.  Being insanely practical I adore creating products that can be used and table linens beautifully compliment my other love, which is baking.

Block printing has a rich and vibrant history. It is one of the oldest and most enduring printing techniques, originating in China over 4000 years ago.  It spread across Asia, with India becoming the epicentre of the trade, using hand carved teak or sheesham wood blocks and natural dyes.
